Deepa's Pottery Space

Meet the artist
Deepa's Pottery Space, where clay meets creativity, and every piece tells a story of nature, passion, and craftsmanship. Founded by Deepa, a dedicated potter since 2015, our studio which is based in India, is a haven for those who appreciate the art of pottery and its deep connection to nature.
The Journey Begins
Deepa's pottery journey began in May 2015 in Noida, for three months, Deepa immersed herself in learning various techniques such as pinching, coiling, slab work, bamboo work, and throwing pots on the wheel. This foundational training included the intricate process of baking pottery, setting the stage for a lifelong passion.
Advancing Skills at Delhi Blue Pottery
To further hone her skills, Deepa joined the prestigious "Delhi Blue Pottery" studio, one of India's first pottery studios, where she completed a six-month professional course under the expert faculty. This experience enriched Deepa’s expertise in wheel work and glazing.
A Decade of Crafting Studio Pottery
Now, with a decade of experience in studio pottery, Deepa continues to live and breathe the art of clay. Her inspiration comes from the natural world, where she finds a profound connection that is both healing and invigorating. Working with clay, she believes, is a way to engage directly with nature, blending the elements of earth, water, air, and fire to create stunning art pieces.
The Art of Pottery
At Deepa's Pottery Space, we believe that the process of pottery is a metaphor for life itself. Mixing clay with water to form dough, shaping it into beautiful forms, drying it in the air, and baking it in the fire—all these steps reflect the natural elements and teach us valuable lessons in patience, hard work, and resilience. Each piece of pottery is a testament to overcoming challenges and transforming raw materials into beautiful art.
Exhibitions and Beyond
Deepa has showcased her work in numerous exhibitions across India and internationally in Singapore, sharing her love for pottery with a wider audience. Each exhibition is an opportunity to spread joy and love through the art of pottery, connecting with people who share a passion for handmade, nature-inspired art. Also organized workshops at the studio for different age groups.
